Blomap is a global social network and a UGC project (User Content Generated) based on Maps and Blogs.

By joining Blomap the new members get a personal space where they can build their own map, save locations from a global map, mark their points of interest, share and post wishes, reviews, pictures, videos, audios, events.

The privacy filters available anytime user uploads, embeds or posts content enable him to decide post by post to whom show and with whom share content and locations. In addition to that members can search for other members through a search engine and browse other members content in the global pages, where the content filtered to all users is posted.

The main language is English which has to be considered as neutral language to which are “added” all European languages. Actually users can choose the language anytime they post or upload content. Moreover the possibility of filtering the global pages content per language, triggers infinite possibility to interact and to share first hand information posted by users who came from all the world. Blomap is therefore supposed to fill the international gap which is often created by different languages inaccessibility.

Blomap is user centered and oriented. Because of that it is an open project in continuous development and enhancement. It was launched on November 23, 2009.
